Entree into the world of Los Angeles repo men proves to be a bizarre experience for young punk rocker Otto (Emilio Estevez). Frustrated with life, Otto quits his boring supermarket job, gets dumped by his girlfriend, and realizes his parents have donated his college fund to a televangelist so he decides to join the Helping Hand Acceptance Cooperation (i.e. a repossession agency). He meets all sorts who make up this apocalyptic scene including but its the 1964 Chevy Malibu with Top Secret cargo in the trunk that really gets this story into gear.
Greatly inspired by punk rock (including the characters of Otto, Duke, Debbi, Archie, and Kevin), Repo Man boasts an epic hardcore score by Los Plugz, Circle Jerks, Fear, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, and Juicy Bananas along with title song by The Godfather of Punk Iggy Pop
