DharmaPunxNYC is a buddhist meditation community established for those of us who clearly see the emptiness of the unbalanced, consumerist, careerist lifestyle. We are finding positive ways to utilize our dissatisfaction with capitalism, redirecting that energy towards enlightenment, rather than towards self-destruction. Teachings focus on practical ways of reducing suffering, developing compassion, improving interpersonal relationships, and more.
Our meetings consist of guided meditation for all levels of experience, a teaching, and time set aside for those who want to share or ask questions about Buddhist practice. DharmaPunxNYC is supported by donation only, and teachers accept no payment.
