+ ADD AN EVENT
On Tuesday, Feb. 5, celebrate LOVE with all of your SPECIAL FRIENDS from ANIMAL FARM, plus our guests SONIA SARAIYA, JOEL MYERS, and SAM BIAGETTI, and numerous FUN SURPRISES.
SONIA SARAIYA contributes regularly to The A.V. Club and The Rumpus. She founded CATCALLED, a women's writing project on street harassment. She had the privilege of losing on national television as a "Jeopardy!" contestant in 2012. Sonia is an Aquarius, but don't get any ideas.
JOEL MYERS is a writer and drummer for the Brooklyn band Lushes. His writing has been featured in Adbusters, The New York Times, and Columbia University's Tablet Literary Magazine, among other outlets. He is nearing completion of his first novel, Hollander.
SAMUEL BIAGETTI's poetry has appeared in The November 3rd Club and The Ballard Street Poetry Journal. His work in the latter was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Samuel's essays on religion have appeared in Killing the Buddha, and he is a doctoral candidate in History at Columbia University, where he is researching the Rhode Island freemasons. He is a decent baker.
PATRICK W. GALLAGHER is Host of Animal Farm (HOAF). His writing has appeared in The Adirondack Review, The New York Times, Mr. Beller's Neighborhood, and elsewhere. Plus, Patrick holds a PhD in Comparative Lit from NYU. He is very smart about this type of thing, so, if you try to extend Patrick a loan, make sure that you offer him a reasonable interest rate.
